I recently wrote a piece for EBONY.com (read it here: http://www.ebony.com/black-history/dorothy-forever-495#axzz2PJugZJGQ) on the significance on Hollywood’s first Black female movie star and sex symbol: Ms. Dorothy Dandridge.
So, I thought it would be fun to post a few pictures of some of today’s biggest African-American female singers and actresses paying tribute to Dandridge.
Dandridge paved the way for all of these women to be able to what they do today. It’s good to see these ladies are showing some respect to the woman who started it all…
My only question is: Why is there NOT a Madame Tussaud’s wax figure of Dorothy Dandridge??? Long overdue.
Disclaimer: I do not own any of these images.
