Rosaline “Rhonda” Ransom Lee left her home in Pontiac, MI on Sunday, May 26 at 3:10 a.m. to get a few things for her children. Her dead body was found by a fisherman in Terry Lake later that morning.
According to WWJ-AM, the 32-year-old woman was strangled to death. Although not yet confirmed, it’s believed that Lee was sexually assaulted since all of her clothes were removed except for her t-shirt.
Her death, which was ruled as a homicide by the Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office, has devastated family and friends who describe her as “a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend.”
ReMona “Richelle” Ransom says her little sister was “in a great mood” on the morning she was murdered.
“My mother and younger sister, Robin, were with my sister Rosaline [on the morning] that she disappeared,” she says. “She had just gone grocery shopping and was cooking dinner the next day. Rosaline and her oldest son, Jordan, were making plans to go to a park in Rochester Hills, MI the next day to go jogging.”
