There’s Nothing Like Seeing Your Name In Print

Hi all!

Hope your Thanksgiving was swell. Hope you had fun, relaxed and enjoyed some great food. I know I did! I’m also guilty of participating in the whole Black Friday frenzy. And while I didn’t enjoy waking up at 3:30 in the morning, I scored some amazing deals! I ended my five-day vacay by tuning into the mid-season finale of The Walking Dead, which is always a treat. I LOVE that show, but I don’t know how I’m going to make it until Feb. 9, 2014–when the show returns. *Sighs*

In the meantime, I’m wrapping up my internship at Eastern Magazine in the next couple weeks.Β Speaking of which, the new fall 2013 issueΒ is finally here! They were delivered yesterday morning–and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on a copy! We at Eastern Magazine have been working so hard on this issue probably since late August, so it’s a real labour of love.

Not only do I have four articles in this issue, but I also was responsible for editing the entire magazine–finding photos, writing headlines and what not. So it’s very rewarding to finally see it all come together. Since the beginning of this year, I’ve produced over 40 articles for online publications, so it’s been a while since I’ve seen my work in print. And let me tell you: There is nothing–and I mean nothing–like seeing your first and last name in print!

I’ve uploaded a few photos of the front cover, my name on the masthead and the four articles I’ve written. But within the next week or two, the issue should become available online. When it does, I’ll be sure to post a link. But for now, enjoy!
