‘Folk the Police’ puts folk, bluegrass and roots spins on hip-hop classics

Imagine a show where artists perform popular hip-hop/rap songs in the style of folk, bluegrass and roots music. Sounds interesting, right? Well, the always-fun-and-refreshing show known as, “Folk the Police” is returning for its fourth consecutive year on Sunday, Jan. 26 at 9 p.m. at the Blind Pig.

This year’s line-up features 17 artists, including Black Jake & the Carnies, Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers, Abigail Stauffer, Kate Peterson, Chris Dupont, Ben Daniels Band, Anna Lee’s Company, The Fever Tongues and Samantha West.
