‘Infinitely Polar Bear’ puts human face on bipolar disorder at the Sundance Film Festival

It’s hard to imagine that a film about a manic depressive father struggling to raise his two daughters, while trying to win back his wife would be so laugh-out-loud funny, but that’s exactly the case in writer/director Maya Forbes’ directorial debut, “Infinitely Polar Bear.”

Part of the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, the bittersweet comedy – which in addition to Mark Ruffalo (“The Avengers”) and Zoe Saldana (“Avatar”), stars Ashley Aufderheide and Forbes’ daughter Imogene Wolodarsky – drew in approximately 1,054 movie-goers to the Michigan Theater last Thursday night.
