D3 Fife and Drum Corps honor American colonial history with its 19th annual Freezer Jam concert

The D3 Fife and Drum Corps organization will present Freezer Jam: The 19th Annual Midwest Conference of Fifes, Drums and Pipes on Saturday, March 1 at 3 p.m. at the University of Michigan’s Mendelssohn Theatre.

This upcoming concert will feature performances of historic and contemporary music played in the ancient style of fife and drum music. Each corps will perform wearing handmade uniforms from the 18th and 19th centuries, while using handcrafted historical instruments, including fifes, rope tension drums and pipes.
