It’s time to start changing the way we think about honey. Not only reserved for sweetening tea or drizzling over your toast in the morning, honey has been used all around the world for thousands of years due to its many health benefits. From fighting dandruff to boosting your immune system, the benefits of honey are endless – now that’s sweet.

1. Improves memory

Studies have shown that consuming two teaspoons of honey each day can improve your memory. That’s not a far stretch considering the fact that honey is loaded with antioxidants that help prevent cell damage and loss.

 One tablespoon of honey contains 17 grams of carbohydrates – making it a great source of natural energy right before hitting the gym.

3. Treats wounds

 Since honey is a natural antimicrobial, it can be applied (lightly) over your scrapes, minor cuts, and basic burns.
