Have you heard of Sesi Magazine? If not, let me fill you in. Sesi is a quarterly print magazine for Black teen girls that’s dedicated to “covering the Black girl’s mainstream.” Team Sesi tackles issues that other magazines are too afraid to approach from the color complex that still exists within the Black community to bullying to racial profiling to eating disorders.
I’ve had the honor and pleasure of contributing to two of Sesi’s issues so far, and honestly, I see so much potential in the magazine and want to see it grow tremendously in the upcoming years. It’s a small publication, so as you can imagine it’s difficult to get ad revenue, which is super important in making sure that Sesi is around for many more years to come! Wanna help? Here’s how you can show your support for Sesi:
1) Order a one-year subscription for the Black teen girl in your life — it’s only $10! This makes a wonderful holiday gift! (Link: www.sesimag.com/subscribe)
2) Contribute to our Booster fundraiser by getting your own Sesi logo hoodie, perfect for the upcoming colder months. Also, a great gift! BONUS: When you order your logo hoodie, you’ll also receive a FREE Sesi logo backpack! (Link: https://www.booster.com/sesilogohoodie)
And of course, spread the word — to your friends, family, coworkers, social media followers, etc.
Thank you in advance!
